Hesperia Man Beats Mother, Arrested for Elder Abuse
Jerry Wayne Baker, 50, has been arrested on suspicion of elder abuse and making terrorist threats.
According to Hesperia Star, Baker beat his 73-year-old mother with a flashlight and threatened to break her hands so she can no longer play the piano after the mother asked her son to pay rent. Baker attacked and started to choke his mother after the two began arguing. The elderly woman was taken to St. Mary Medical Center where medical personnel contacted the police department. Officers went to the elder woman's home where they found evident of the beating and arrested her son.
