CA Man Beat Ex-Girlfriend, Arrested for Elder Abuse
A 56 year old California Valley man had been arrested on elder abuse charges after he allegedly beat his ex-girlfriend.
According to an article on the San Luis Obispo Tribune, Douglas Ray Flaata is accused of severely beating his former 74-year-old girlfriend. The incident occurred this past Sunday in California Valley at around 5:30pm. Officers received an emergency phone call and upon arriving at the residence, they found the elderly woman had suffered serious injuries. Flaata was arrested on suspicion of elder abuse and was taken to the local county jail where he is being held on a $500,000 bail.
