OC Man On Trail For Stabbing Elderly Father in the Face

Milorad Theodor Olic, 44, is on trial for elder abuse and attempted murder that occurred in 2010 in Orange County.

During the trail, Olic called his elderly father "Darth Vader", an evil man and a terrorist who caused millions of people to die and told the jury that his father stabbed himself so that Olic could go to prison.

According to the OC Register, after years of supporting his son, the elderly father retired and suffered some financial setbacks when he asked his son to downsize his luxurious lifestyle. Olic failed to compromise and the elderly father threatened to cut him off financially. After an eviction notice was given to Milorad Olic, both he and his elderly father sat outside of the apartment in their car when Olic began slashing his father in the face with a knife. The elderly man was able to push his son off and went to seek help; he was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Milorad Olic is on trial for attempted murder and elder abuse with sentencing enhancements for causing great bodily injury to an elder and personal use of a deadly weapon. If convicted, Olic could be facing a maximum sentence of life in state prison.
